For those not in the design industry, Pantone may not be a name you’re familiar with, but it certainly has had an influence on the colours surrounding you, from clothes to household goods to the colours used in ads and magazines. Founded in 1963, Pantone developed a system for standardizing colour matching for the graphic arts, but has since also become a global authority on colour for multiple design fields such as home, fashion, graphic and the web. And recently, Pantone announced the Colour of the Year for 2010 (drum roll please….)

There is an Official Colour for 2010
