Styling Tools 2- Hot Tools

This week Frank & Violet will take us through another in the line of important tools to have to achieve gorgeous hair - hot tools.
"Hot tools are what most people define as your blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron" says Frank.
You want to spend money and purchase professionals hot tools. They really do make a difference on your hair.

Blow Dryer

Here is probably where you will want to invest the most. A good blow dryer will set you back about $150-$200. Franks notes that. "when you amortize the cost of the blow dryer over a 5 year period, this is how long if not more your professional dryer will last, you are looking at $3.00 a month - that's crazy. Okay, you still have to shell out the $150-200 but trust me ladies a good blow dryer will work wonders on your hair.

Look for a ionic dryer. When the ceramic is heated it created ionic technology. These negative ions bond water droplets on the hair shaft. These water droplets become 1/50 their normal size where they are more easily absorbed by the hair shaft. Ionic blow dryers dry 50% faster and with 50% of the heat required by a regular dryer. Because of this it helps lessen split ends and frizzies and preserves more of your hairs natural oils.

Curling & Flat Irons

Whatever your weapon ensure that you again buy professional irons and look for new technology like ceramic. I am not sure they even make flat irons in the traditional non-ceramic way anymore" grins Frank.

Ceramic irons work in the same manner that the blow dryers works. Ceramic when heated produces negative ions. Ceramic flat irons also heat up faster and distribute heat more evenly and you can adjust the temperature to your hair type. But keep one thing in mind with ceramic irons - ALWAYS use on dry hair.
